Dark way to hall of shame

It was a long and dark night for me this year at Jukola. After a good performance at Tiomila this year I was once again chosen to run the longest night leg, leg nr 3 in Jukola.

 I was training in Finnland already a few days since monday, so I knew how the terrain would look like and also that it would be very importent to keep the right direction.

Tiomila 2010- 11th place, better than expected

The goal this year for my new club, Stora Tuna OK, was to be among top 15 to top 20 teams. In fact with an 11th place we performed better than everyone expected from us, but it could have been even better.

SM Ultralong - 2h35min of running and much more time in the car

This weekend the Swedish Championships in Ultralong were held in Ettebro, next to Ronneby.
It was my third competition in Sweden since I moved to Borlänge and Stora Tuna OK in early March.

Ultralong, it's the race where in Austria maybe 5 to 10 people are fighting for the medals, in Sweden it is a bit more.

Silvesterrun - 5000m

On the last day of the year there are a lot of running events in Austria. Last year I took part in a charity run. A sponsor paid a small amount for every loop that was run, therefore I tried to run quiet a lot of loops to collect some money. In total I was running about 32 km, together with the training in the morning it was slightly more than 6 hours of training that day. A bit too much and as a result I had to stay in bed the first days of the new year.
To avoid the same mistake like last year I have chosen to start in a traditional Silvesterrun, a 5k street race in Zillingdorf. Some other runners of my club also took part in this race.

Austrian Championships Night-O - Austria Cup

Last weekend the last competitions in the Austrian O schedule took place in St. Johann/Tirol.
The first competition, on saturday evening, was the night-championship.
